Sensational Shaped card at SCH.

Welcome to Sugar Creek Hollow and another Sensational Saturday.  This week we are challenging you to make SHAPED CARDS.  Now everyone will tell you a square or a rectangle is a shape and they are correct but we want you to stretch your creativity and to try making cards in lots of other shapes.  We want to remind you that we are a vintage, shabby chic or primitive inspired challenge blog so lets see your shaped cards in one of those styles.  And one other reminder - our challenges go live on Saturday morning at 8:00 am EST so please do not link to a post prior to that day and time.
Here is my card.

And her is a side view of my card:

This week we have a wonderful sponsor, "priscillastyles" Store.  The random winner will receive $10 worth of digis of their choice from "priscillastyles" Store and a Sugar Creek Hollow winner's badge to display on her blog.

The Design Team will also choose a Card of the Week and that creator will receive a badge to display on her blog and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

I have used one of my favorite images- Potting flowers it can be found Here. Make sure you check out the rest of the Design teams blogs and see their wonderful shaped cards with images by "Priscillastyles" Store.

Hello !
It is the weekend! Yea!!!

Today at Sugar Creek Hollow the challenge is Masculine cards. With Fathers day coming soon, we thought it would be a great time to get started. One lucky winner will get a badge and an image of our choice.
I  have a special card for you today.
The above picture is the card open, I learned about this type of fold called Box Arm fold from my dear friend Emma over at Lady and the Stamp. She even gives you the tutorial for free! Your the best Emma! So stop on over to her blog to check out her work and pick up the tutorial. Be sure to tell her I sent you!
Here is a view of the card closed. So it fits into a regular card envelope.
And one more with a view from the top.

I used quite a few sets  from SU to make the collage, and lots of distressing to make it feel a bit older. My Paper combo is Old Olive and Night of Navy.  When I brought this card into work, I even got a few orders for this. Very happy about that.
Be sure to come on over to SCH and show us your vintage or shabby Masculine cards. I cant wait to see what you make.
The rest of the DT will knock you socks off too, so stop by to see what  they have done and get some more inspiration.

Armen

Hello and it is FRIDAY!!
For my card today I have very little  stamping on it, a small swirl at the very left hand top of the card.
I know most of you can not read the words on the card you don't need to get your glasses or adjust your computer screen.

The words are in Armenian and they say Congrats. This is for my girlfriends son who is getting an award for attending Armenian school since he started. What do you think, is he going to be able to read this? I hope so after all the years of Armenian school. The words are computer generated after I asked my girlfriend how to write it. I made the stars to go with the papers. I wanted something boyish yet modern. Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think.

Congrats Grad.

Hello,
Today I have a card for you that I made with images from Doodle Pantry. I used the set called Grad Hats and one saying from Floral Hats. I made this for a friend at work, she wanted one of my cards for her daughters graduation.
I made my own paper with the words from the two sets colored the mortar with copics in blue for the girls school colors.  I embossed the BG white with a star embossing folder and finished it off with a beautiful silk ribbon. Thanks for stopping by today.

Lenny the ladybug.

I hope I get this posted in time to make it for the Stamp fairy challenge!
This week the challenge is a sketch from Stamp fairy.
Here is my card, I used the image called Lenny ladybug, which just always makes me smile! All my papers are from SU.
Here is what the sketch looks like and I thought it was fun and different so I just had to find the time to participate.
On a good note my weekend was not as busy as the calender  stated, due to all the rain we have been getting all the soccer game for my daughter were canceled. We have had so much rain that I was beginning to worry about building an ark! Wishing everyone a great day!
Oh Pooh! I didn't make it! The challenge closed, I hate when that happens.

Wishing to be Fishin'

Hello!
I have a quick post for you today.
I made a Father's day card for my husband. I used the new image from Doodle Pantry, called Reel 'Em In.

We are big fishing people at our house and I think this is just a perfect image. Here is what comes in this set.
And the sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 101.
I did have to turn the sketch side ways to accommodate the image.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

Thank goodness I have a nice neighbor that is helping my son get to his Umpiring. Circles, circles everywhere!

Oh Happy day!
Today I have a card for you from The Stamping Boutique. It is for the Challenge #6 Circles. Show us all your circles! So I have a secret I have never made a circle card, I have put one together in club, but never cut it and made it my self. They are fairly easy, as long as you know what size you want to make it.

For this card I used the image from The Stamping Boutique called Tulip Fairy. I colored her with my copics, and cut her out in a circle, mounted the image on my new Die-namic that has circles and added the Happy Thoughts sentiment. that is a circle! Papers are form SU and the DP is from CTMH.

Don't forget that today is Dollar days over at TSB. All the images located in the "What's New" section of the store will be $1 each. So be sure to head on over and check things out! Lots of great images for only one dollar!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to show us your circles, I will be looking for your card over at TSB!
