Cardinal Angel

Hello,
Just a quick post today, I made a angel from CDCA, the pattern is free all you have to do is join and request it. I was a little nervous when I started this but, I think she turned out great. I made this to give to my In- laws at Christmas time. It will be just a little something extra. She is very pretty in person so soft and fluffy. The image is from Fred she said-digital and it is already colored so it made it even easier! Thanks for stopping by today.

Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow.

Good morning and today at Sugar Creek hollow the challenge was to use a image that we have not used yet. I could not wait to get my hands on this super image Bad Hair day.  Is she just not the best?

I have used a sketch from Sweet sketch Wednesdays #80

I have added lots of sparkle to her hair, on the ground and even in the snowflakes next to her. I think she looks Fab in her designer snowflake paper by Basic Gray and with her matching designer gloves and scarf and she even has a sweet  little red friend with her.  Be sure to check out the rest of the teams work and We will be back in January to bring you some new and exciting things from SCH.

Yellow birds of happiness.

It is Friday and I am off work for two whole weeks! If I could I would be doing cartwheels...I am so happy. I have so much to do. My craft room looks like a bomb went off, so I need to clean it. I have to tidy up my bedroom and do just a little more Christmas shopping.
For today's card I played with the free 4 all # 43 over at Splitcoast and I used the sketch at Mojo Mondays #169 and the color challenge is from Play date cafe # 60. All these challenge to celebrate being off of work for a few days.  I have played these challenges before, and since work can get in the way of doing the challenges, today I just had to do them all! Thanks for stopping by!

SSW-79

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.... We are having a snow storm here in MI. They are predicting 4-6 inches and it has been snowing all day.  I made some yummy Minestrone soup and we are going to start a fire in the fireplace and just get cozy. I have been working on cards this afternoon and I made one for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge # 79. Sketches are one of my favorites,  that is why I like sweet sketch Wednesday.

This is the sketch, and here is my card.

This sweet image is by Doodle pantry. My DP paper is from Hobby Lobby and  the plain paper is form SU. On the sweet little birds I used flower soft on the earmuffs, hat and cape.
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Weekend!

It's the weekend!! That means it is time for the girls at Sugar Creek Hollow to do more with the fantastic Christmas  images! For today we are doing a sketch challenge.
This is the sketch.  What a great sketch, you can use so many different images for this. Here is my card.
I used the cute Christmas mug and Merry Christmas saying from SCH.  I wanted to use this image and have not had the chance too. I ran this through my printer a few times with different papers by Cosmo cricket.  After cutting out the mug and poinsettias, I then put it back together  added some stickles to the flower centers, and I also used my copics to add some depth to the mug.  I got some dew drops out, I have not used them is quite  awhile. Thanks to stopping by hope you can join us and I would love the see what you do with the sketch!  Don't forget to check out the rest of the teams beautiful creations, they are over on my side bar.

MMSC81-Winter Wonderland.

Hello,
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend! We just returned form my In-laws where we had a great time playing cribbage and other card games.  I had some extra time to stamp this weekend and it was fun!
This card is for MMSC 81, it has been a while for me since I have participated in the challenge. I just do not find the time during the week with work and now the puppy taking up most of my free time, so it was nice to have a few hours to myself!
For this card I used Lovely as a tree from SU and the paper is from Graph 45. I just received my ribbon from really reasonable ribbon and just had to use this beautiful crochet ribbon!
Thanks for stopping by.

Sugar Creek Hollow Vintage Lamp Post

Hello bloggers! Today for SCH we were to use the faux barn board technique.  I had to give it 4 tries before I got it right. Tee hee!   I think the first two time I gave it a try my glue was old and runny. The 3rd time it almost worked and finely it worked! I found it was a fine line to letting the glue dry and not dry.

I had fun on my computer changing the color of one of my favorite images from Sugar Creek Hollow.  I used my French scrip to add some red and brown  ink to the faux barn board. The DP is from Graphic 45.  My ribbon treatment is brown satin ribbon and Victorian lace from SU topped off with a antique brad.  The branches are from a MS punch.
Make sue you check out the rest for the DT to see what they did with their faux barn board.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Our First month

Hello Blogger's.
I don't have a card for today's post. I just wanted to show you Guinness. He has been with us one month. He has grown a lot, caused lots of laughs and is just about the sweetest little guy you have ever met. My friend had the perfect description for him she said he acts like he is "stoned" . I laughted so hard because he does!  He is just about the mellowest Airedale I have ever met.

I think Guinness has  become very comfortable here, he knows his bed,  loves the kids and looks forward to eating 3 times a day! I can set a clock to his feeding times. LOL!! We enjoy having him  with us everyday. Thanks for stopping by!

Seasons Greetings

Hello!
Today's card is for Sugar Creek Hollow, we were to use a sketch. I really like how this turned out. I used a new image called Postage stamp it is a very pretty digital image it reminds me of the movie A Christmas Carol. You know the movie with Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
Here is the sketch:

It is a great sketch!  I had fun with this sketch!
I used my new paper from Basic Grey Jovial Paper pad. The Digi image has a lot more to it I just wanted it to fit in a circle so I only used the light and saying. Be sure to check out the new Christmas digi releases at Sugar Creek Hollow.  There may even be some Freebies!!! Let me know what you think and be sure to check out the rest of ultra talented design team.

Harvest Blessings.

Hello Bloggers!
It is Saturday and the day before Halloween. We don't get a lot of Trick or Treats here at our house. My son is going to stay home this year and my daughter is going to be Little Red Riding Hood and is going out with her girlfriend.  I can not tell you how tired I am this week! Boy... this puppy keeps you on your toes! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get this card done.  For Sugar Creek hollow we were to use a lace technique. I don't have lace at my house so I cheated and use some paper that has lace designs  on it.

I printed  this adorable scene from SCH  called Fall Church and the Harvest Blessing. I added stickles to the church windows and lots of sparkle swirls all around.  I just love this pleated velvet ribbon that I found at one of my local Scrapbook stores. Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the teams beautiful work. Be sure to check back next week we will have some more new Christmas images!

Oh Happy day!

Hi everyone!
I know I have mentioned it here about getting a new family member.  After lots of looking and searching I would like you to met Guinness! He is a 5 month old Airedale Terrier.
This is him on his first day home, it is now day three and I think he feels at home.  It is a good thing God made them so cute! I have forgotten how much work and how exhausting  it is to have a baby around the house! So far one accident in the house  and a chewed power cord from my husband's  lap top!  Not my fault, Kids were in charge for a half hour!

Here he is the other night sound asleep on his bed, this just cracks  me up !  Our other dog use to sleep like this too. I don't see how it can be comfortable. Okay I am off chasing the baby!

Sugar Creek Hollow Christmas Cardinal and MMSC76

Hello Bloggers Happy Saturday to you! For today's card I used the beautiful SCH  digi Christmas Cardinal.
Looks just like the  regal Cardinals I get in my backyard in the winter. One of my Favorite birds they just pop against the winter snow.
For this card I used the Christmas cardinal and the paper is SU.  For the brown piece of paper I used an embossing folder and than used a sanding block to knock off some of the color.  The snowflakes are punched and than I used lots of "fairy dust" to cover them in sparkle, I also added a  touch to the stump of the tree that the cardinal is sitting on to make it look like snow.  I found this beautiful velvet ribbon that I added to the top of the lace to add a vintage feel.
Thanks for looking! Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT we had a choice between two images and I think it is fun to see what everyone else did.

MMSC75

Just a short post today, I have been thinking about this sketch all week and I knew what I wanted to do, I just did not have the time. My husband and I  took the kids to Cedar Point this weekend for Halloweekends and had a blast! My Son and I went through all the Haunted houses on Friday night, We had so much fun our sides hurt from screaming laughing and clutching each others hands!  I even went on the Top Thrill Dragster, what a rush!
On to my card I used the Midnight Madness Sketch #75. I knew I wanted to use Priscilla's Sunflower image. The center flower was printed twice and popped up.The  flower is just one image that I put together to make three. I also used stickles to get sparkle on the flowers and gold thread. My Paper is by Bo-bunny and I did some sponging around the sunflowers. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.

Eastern Bluebird

It Saturday and that means that I am showing off another image from Sugar Creek Hollow! Today the DT was challenged  to use the colors Early Espresso, River Rock, and Baja Breeze. these are my colors and I love how they look together.
For my card I used the Eastern Bluebird digi image and the perfect fitting quote by Thoreau (Henry David quotes).  To top off the card I use the Crinkle ribbon from Sugar Creek hollow, I used it to make the flower on the card.  I love how this ribbon ties and how easy it is to work with.  All three of these are available at SCH. Thanks for Stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made with SCH digi  images.

October

For some time now I have been admiring the calendars that some of the blogers have made. I wanted to give it a try. I tried to buy a holder on line but, every time I go to order they are sold out.  So I asked Dawn Burnworth what size her holder was and she sent me the measurements. I made one myself and with just a small amount of encouragement from my husband. My plan is to make a new image for each month.
The image is form The Stamping  Boutique it is from the Halloween collection called "A Crowded Mash" and is a digital image. I knew I could get it to the size I wanted. Sorry about the Photo, I have been experimenting with lighting and things are not working out for me. If anyone has some suggestions about lighting I could use them!
Thanks for stopping by today.

It is Harvest time!

Hello and happy weekend to you all!
Today's card is for our challenge at SCH.  We were to use the Lord of the Harvest tag. This is a lovely swirly image with a saying and some pumpkins.  When I saw this image the first thing that came into my head was harvest...farming, farming...rustic. So I used some rustic looking papers and paper pieced the pumpkins and the tag . I tried o use a different paper for the letters and I just could not cut them all out. So I brought out my copics and colored the letters.
I used glitter on all the swirly images and even on the pumpkins. Don't forget the check out the rest of the teams cards, they are all fantastic! Every one is listed on my side bar. Next month we get to show you the new Christmas and winter images. I'm  so very excited!
On a happy note, keep your fingers crossed we might have a new furry family member next week! I am hoping and praying that everything works out well.  It has been way to quite at my house and I hate it.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sugar Creek Hollow & MMSC71

It is week three for the girls at Sugar Creek Hollow. I have been having so much fun with the challenges from SCH,  these girls are super talented and I love seeing what they have created with each challenge. This weeks challenge was challenging for me, We were to use the colors, black, riding hood red and vanilla. I have discovered I have a very hard time with color challenges. I went through a lot of paper this week because nothing was working for me, I even called my friend Sharon to help. Thanks for talking me down Sharon!  Here is my creation:
I do love how this turned out and think it is a great card but, you didn't have to deal with me all week! I was in a little panic! LOL!  I also wanted to use Priscilla's Midnight Madness sketch. So this is my interpretation of sketch 71. The image is SCH's Henry David quote #2. and for the flower I used pages from an old book .
I  got to peek at the new Sugar Creek Hollow Christmas images!!  We are going to have to wait a few weeks but, I think it will be worth the wait!

Don't forget to check out the other talented ladies on the team.
