Ay, caramba...its your birthday.

Todays card is for my sister, on Monday it will be her "29th" birthday. Not only is it her "29th birthday I believe it is the 20 year( give or take a few years) anniversary of her "29th " birthday. I bought this image a long time ago from Meljens and knew I would use it for one of Nadia's cards because she has a Chihuahua named Elphaba.

Here is a picture of Elphaba. She is named after my sisters favorite character in the book "Wicked"

 

Elphaba goes just about every where with my sister. Nadia is very into Kayaking and Elpie even has a life jacket for the paddle trips.  Thanks for stopping by. The sketch I used is from Sketch Saturday.

For the sketch today I used this adorable image called Tom Summer., I thought he was just perfect for this weeks sketch and Tom come with a darling partner called Molly and both Tom and Molly have a little fish friend that you can see at the side of my card. 

I colored Tom with my copics and the paper piecing is from the papers - Little yellow Bicycle-Splash. I hope you find the time to join us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesdays.

Hope you all are having a good weekend.  I am doing well, little sunburned but having a good time.  Today I have a card for you with an image from Mo Manning. I am a big fan of her images. They are so beautiful and fun to color.

A ride on the wild side

Hello and Happy Wednesday to you. 

What a week I  had last week. My last post was July 4th and that is the day we lost power until July 8th at about 5:30 PM. Those days were some of the hottest days that we have had.  It was in the high 90 with very high humidity. Some days my car said it was 107! We lost a lot of food and my sons computer. 

Now I am enjoying the AC and my computer again, you do not know how much you rely on the power until it is gone, I am so very happy it is back on.

Happy 4th of July.

Happy 4th of July my American friends! 

I am feeling kind of bad, it has been so hot we have not gone to see firework this year. I just can not think of sitting outside for a few hours waiting  in this hot, hot, hot weather for the fireworks to start. So my daughter and I went to the Library to get some movies, we have some old ones, like "Singing in the Rain"  and a few newer ones like "Contagion" for my son. This way we get to stay cool and can have snacks like ice cream and not have to worry about it melting all over us. I wish all my American friends a Happy 4th.

I made this card for a friend of my daughter. The girls are on the same soccer team and we were all together this past weekend at an away soccer game. In the card we put a Taco Bell gift card to the birthday girl because that is her favorite place to eat, I think she would eat there for all 3 meal. LOL!

The image is a Mo Manning and my yoyo was home made.
