Very exciting news for me! I just found out today that I am a winner of some great Blog candy,  earlier in May I put a quote in for Dawn Burnworths blog My Stamping Thyme.  Today I found out I am the winner of her blog candy! Very exciting, I never win. So I have been flying high all day. Thank you Dawn! Go check out her blog she does fantastic work. 

On to my card, this is for today's sketch challenge. I wanted to make this for my father-in- law.  While we were visiting him this weekend,  he asked us about the balloon festival and if we were coming in for it this year. Sad to say we can not make it this year for the ballooning, but this will let him know we are thinking of him! Let me know what you think of my card! Thanks for stopping by!

Bye, bye birdie.

This card is for today's color challenge over at SCS. Fun colors to work with this week.  The dessert option is to add pearls, and the cherry on top is to add the color, sky blue.  Which I did both! Yea!!! I also got to use the new watermark, my friend Sharon made it for me. She has been working on her blog and teaching herself to make her own blog design and watermarks, she is such a talented lady. Birthday wishes!

 

Happy Tuesday to you all! This card is for today's color challenge,SCS. I just love these colors together and when I saw it I new I had to make a card using them.  I made this card for a friends birthday card, I hope she likes it.  I saw these flowers in a CTMH catalog I just had to give it a try.

To make them use your 1 1/4"circle punch and cut out 8 or 9 circles.

Fold two side over,  over lap them so one end comes to a point( see picture below). Arrange the "petals" on a circle that has adhesive on it, I had to redo the petals a few times until I got them to fit on the circle.

This is what one of the circles looks like folded and when they are all put together the look like the flowers up in the card.

Chicks Rule!

It's The weekend!! This is the chant at our house on Friday mornings. Everyone looks forward to Fridays at our house, this weekend is no exception! such a busy week for the kids with home work. Not that this weekend is going to be quite around here,  baseball tournament and 4 soccer games!!

Today's card is for the free 4 all challenge on SCS.   The challenge was to use buttons and bows. This image is from a stamp show I went to with some of the club girls, we had a blast! I spent way too much $$ but you only live once.  Hee, hee!! The stamp set is from Inky Antics, colored with copics . Let me know what you think about this card, I love to read  your feed back!

Flowers for a friend.

Hello bloggers! Today's card was made for the sketch challenge over at SCS. I made this card for one of the girls in book club, she didn't make it to the meeting on Monday because she has pneumonia.  She is very down and sad right now. Normally she is a go getter and non-stop. Well, you can imagine she had stopped in her tracks.  I have had pneumonia before and for 4 weeks all I wanted to do was go back to bed.  I wanted to send her some happiness. I hope this brings her a little joy! Thanks for stopping by today. Thank you for you kind comments I just love reading  them. You guys just make my day! Big ((((((hugs)))))

Poppies

Hello Bloggers,  Happy Wednesday to you. Today's post is with a stamp set that I got a few weeks ago from There She Goes. I just love Poppies and when I saw this set I knew I had to have it!

For this card, I used versa mark and white embossing powder for the main image, the swiss dot embossing folder was used on one side of this card and the ribbon was tied in the middle. For the white card stock I used Papertrey white, it is much heavier that the SU white and for a card base it works perfect. Hopefully I will be back to regular postings, due to the fact I am now off of work for the summer "Big Grin" ! I will not have any extra cash, but I will have my time to stamp and get things done around the house.  I have a very long list! Thanks for stopping by!

Country Flowers

Long time no blogging.................

Sorry  bloggers, I 

have been very, very, very busy with the kids! between soccer and baseball we are beat! All I keep thinking is Thank goodness my daughter is not playing soccer for two teams like she wanted too!  Well, we had yesterday off ( no running to games or practice), I got my shopping done and then today was not my turn to drive so I decided to make it down to my craft room. I have been thinking of stamping for days now.  When I saw the sketch challenge and the Teapot Tuesdays, I decided to put them together.  This is what I came up with, I like the country feel you get form this card.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
