Hi Blogers!
I am here today after a long crazy weekend! I had to go out of town Friday for a soccer tournament, or they called it a "team bonding" weekend. From our last game I rushed home to make it to a concert, which was so much fun! We saw Maroon 5 and Train. Then this morning Up at 5:30 to hop on a bus to take the kids to band camp. I think today will be a nap day!

I made this card for a challenge then found out the challenge had a sponsor.  Silly me! I wasn't going to post it but I thought it was very pretty. Here it is...
I made my own BG papers and added lost of distressing. All stamped image are from SU. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Challenge:
Paper pretties- Blue Brown and choice.

Sensational Buttons and Bows.

Welcome back for another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow.  This week our challenge to you is to create your vintage, shabby chic or primitive card featuring BUTTONS & BOWS.  You must use both on your project and you must create in a vintage style.

Here is my card for the Buttons and bows challenge.
I used the Jelly jar image from The Stamping boutique. Instead of Jelly or jam, I went with Lemon curd, have you ever had any? I can eat it out of the jar with a spoon...YUM!

This week we are pleased to welcome a new sponsor - The Stamping Boutique. Check out the store for some absolutely fabulous images.

The Stamping Boutique will be generously providing our random winner with 3 Digi's & 1 Digi Paper Pack.  What a fabulous prize!  We will also give the random winner a badge to display on her blog.

The Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and the creator will receive a badge to display and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

This week each designer has used an image from our sponsor to create their inspiration for you. To check out the details, just click on their name and you will be taken right to their blog. Then dig out those bits of ribbon and that bag of old buttons that you have in your stash and let's see what wonderful creations you can come up with.

Sweet Raspberries for you.

Hi... you all!
How are things?  I have just had 14, 12 year old girls spend the night...my ears are still ringing! I did it for my daughter, so she could get to know her teammates better before our first big tournament this weekend. It is amazing how loud they can get...Such high pitched squeals!  For 1 hour we had some quite, because I sent them out in the neighborhood to do a scavenger hunt, my poor neighbors.

On to my card, I used one of my favorite images from Doodle Pantry called Pears and Raspberries and the sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesdays, sketch #115-64. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Sensational Christmas in August with SCH

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow.  We
know it is August and it has been so hot in so many areas but it is time
to cool things down and think Christmas.  This week our challenge
to you is to make a VINTAGE CHRISTMAS
CARD
.

We want you to put away your cute images and find a vintage Christmas
image in your craft room or online.  For this challenge you also
need to get out your most vintage papers and embellishments.  There
are lots of freebies available online so use your favorite search engine
and you will find lots of options.  If you are in the need of some
retail therapy, there are also a number of wonderful vintage products in
the craft stores now.

Vintage doesn't necessarily mean overly embellished especially since you
want to be able to afford the postage to mail your creation but you do
want to make it look old so this is the time to think inks, distressing,
lace, antique buttons, etc. - oh my what endless possibilities.

We will be choosing a random winner and that person will receive a
winner's badge to display on her blog and a digi of our choice.  In
addition, the Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week
and the creator will receive a badge to display and will be in the
running for a Guest Designer spot.

Our designers pulled out all the stops to create vintage Christmas cards
for your inspiration.  For details on each card just click on the
designer's name and you will be taken to their blog.

Sensational Neutrals.

Welcome to Saturday and another sensational one at Sugar Creek
Hollow.  This week our challenge is all about NEUTRALS.  We want you to create
a vintage, primitive or shabby chic card or other paper-crafted project
in neutral colors, preferably off-white, kraft or gray.  You may
use a bit of color in your vintage style image but nowhere else on your
creation.
Here is my creation this week, I used Off white and black.  For this card I used an oldie but a goodie from SU. Lovely as a Tree. This is such a beautiful set. I embossed the tree and the Oak leaves with black embossing powder.

This should be a very easy challenge because there are so many gorgeous
neutral papers and embellishments available online and in the craft
stores now and the best part is that so many of them are of a vintage
style.

We will give one random winner a digi of our choice and a badge to
display.  In addition the Design Team will choose a Card of the
Week and the creator will receive a badge to display and will be in the
running for a Guest Designer spot.

Our designers have created some wonderful inspiration for you and if you
would like to see the details, just click on their name and you will be
taken directly to their blog. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Vacation photos.

Here are just a few of our vacation Photos from the hundreds that I took!
Here is my son, Nic with a trout that he caught in a river in Yellowstone. After a bad start this made a good finish for him.
This BIG guy was grazing by the road side. We had the great experience of a heard crossing right in front of our camper. There were lots of babies too.
Here is my daughter, Mia she got a big kick out of these giant Puff balls that were growing everywhere.
This coyote was pouncing on something, this is a drive by photo. We were driving by and there was no room to stop and get the picture, so I rolled down my window and took a shot. Not too bad, I wish he would of looked up but,  I guess he was busy.
This is one of my favorites! I was so bummed that we did not see a Moose. I spotted this super photo opportunity as we were heading south and leaving the Tetons! At first I didn't think he was real. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by.
