Harvest Blessings.

Hello Bloggers!
It is Saturday and the day before Halloween. We don't get a lot of Trick or Treats here at our house. My son is going to stay home this year and my daughter is going to be Little Red Riding Hood and is going out with her girlfriend.  I can not tell you how tired I am this week! Boy... this puppy keeps you on your toes! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get this card done.  For Sugar Creek hollow we were to use a lace technique. I don't have lace at my house so I cheated and use some paper that has lace designs  on it.

I printed  this adorable scene from SCH  called Fall Church and the Harvest Blessing. I added stickles to the church windows and lots of sparkle swirls all around.  I just love this pleated velvet ribbon that I found at one of my local Scrapbook stores. Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the teams beautiful work. Be sure to check back next week we will have some more new Christmas images!

Oh Happy day!

Hi everyone!
I know I have mentioned it here about getting a new family member.  After lots of looking and searching I would like you to met Guinness! He is a 5 month old Airedale Terrier.
This is him on his first day home, it is now day three and I think he feels at home.  It is a good thing God made them so cute! I have forgotten how much work and how exhausting  it is to have a baby around the house! So far one accident in the house  and a chewed power cord from my husband's  lap top!  Not my fault, Kids were in charge for a half hour!

Here he is the other night sound asleep on his bed, this just cracks  me up !  Our other dog use to sleep like this too. I don't see how it can be comfortable. Okay I am off chasing the baby!

Sugar Creek Hollow Christmas Cardinal and MMSC76

Hello Bloggers Happy Saturday to you! For today's card I used the beautiful SCH  digi Christmas Cardinal.
Looks just like the  regal Cardinals I get in my backyard in the winter. One of my Favorite birds they just pop against the winter snow.
For this card I used the Christmas cardinal and the paper is SU.  For the brown piece of paper I used an embossing folder and than used a sanding block to knock off some of the color.  The snowflakes are punched and than I used lots of "fairy dust" to cover them in sparkle, I also added a  touch to the stump of the tree that the cardinal is sitting on to make it look like snow.  I found this beautiful velvet ribbon that I added to the top of the lace to add a vintage feel.
Thanks for looking! Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT we had a choice between two images and I think it is fun to see what everyone else did.

MMSC75

Just a short post today, I have been thinking about this sketch all week and I knew what I wanted to do, I just did not have the time. My husband and I  took the kids to Cedar Point this weekend for Halloweekends and had a blast! My Son and I went through all the Haunted houses on Friday night, We had so much fun our sides hurt from screaming laughing and clutching each others hands!  I even went on the Top Thrill Dragster, what a rush!
On to my card I used the Midnight Madness Sketch #75. I knew I wanted to use Priscilla's Sunflower image. The center flower was printed twice and popped up.The  flower is just one image that I put together to make three. I also used stickles to get sparkle on the flowers and gold thread. My Paper is by Bo-bunny and I did some sponging around the sunflowers. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.

Eastern Bluebird

It Saturday and that means that I am showing off another image from Sugar Creek Hollow! Today the DT was challenged  to use the colors Early Espresso, River Rock, and Baja Breeze. these are my colors and I love how they look together.
For my card I used the Eastern Bluebird digi image and the perfect fitting quote by Thoreau (Henry David quotes).  To top off the card I use the Crinkle ribbon from Sugar Creek hollow, I used it to make the flower on the card.  I love how this ribbon ties and how easy it is to work with.  All three of these are available at SCH. Thanks for Stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made with SCH digi  images.

October

For some time now I have been admiring the calendars that some of the blogers have made. I wanted to give it a try. I tried to buy a holder on line but, every time I go to order they are sold out.  So I asked Dawn Burnworth what size her holder was and she sent me the measurements. I made one myself and with just a small amount of encouragement from my husband. My plan is to make a new image for each month.
The image is form The Stamping  Boutique it is from the Halloween collection called "A Crowded Mash" and is a digital image. I knew I could get it to the size I wanted. Sorry about the Photo, I have been experimenting with lighting and things are not working out for me. If anyone has some suggestions about lighting I could use them!
Thanks for stopping by today.
