Singing in the rain...

Happy St Patty's day!
Hope everyone is having a great day. It was beautiful here in MI. Sunny and 64 degrees. Most of the snow is melted and I even had one crocus that has come up in my garden.  One of my favorite things to see, because it means spring is right around the corner.
On to my card, I used an image from Stamp Fairy-Patsy. She is so cute with her umbrella standing in a puddle.
Well I paper pieced her with some Stampin Up DP- Kiwi Kiss paper. I just happen to have the matching ribbon that I won as a little prize.  I have used Crystal effects on the rain drops and on the puddle.
On another note, you may want to stop back here on Saturday and leave a comment on my post, Sugar Creek Hollow is Celebrating its One year anniversary and I will have some candy to give away.  I believe the whole team will have a little something to give away, be sure to join the hop.

Mothers day

Hello Today's  post is for Crafty Creations Challenge #110, The Stamping Boutique is hosting this challenge.  The Challenge is to make Mothers day cards, I no longer have my Mother with me, so this card will be for my Mother- in- law.
I have been wanting to use this image since it came out at TSB called Picket fence.  It is just so sweet and fresh. I have colored this with my copics, and use bright fun colored papers. The image is colored on cryogen paper so it gives it some shimmer. I topped this  with off with a white silk ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out Crafty Creations Challenge and make a Mothers day card.

Sensational Flower Saturday.

Happy Saturday to everyone!
Hope you are all doing well. For today we are working with flowers over at Sugar Creek Hollow. Not just any flowers but, home made flowers. For my card I have made two flowers, I think they turned out great.
Here is my card, rather simple design with the image from SCH- Get Well.  For the image I did some light coloring and sponging.  My paper is from Papertrey and it is full of shimmer and shine. I love how my flowers turned out. I used tulle and ribbon. I cut out about 10-12 layers of the tulle and left about 4 pieces as the base.  Then  folding each piece in half so it looks like half a circle. That half, I would fold in half again so it looked like a cone. I would layer those on my base. Over lapping as I would go around the base.  I am a very visual person so  if any one is interested  I will do a post on how to make them.
My ribbon was sewn and gathered to make a flower and I used a rhinestone as the center.  This is my second card this week  with the easel fold, which is so much fun and easy to do.
I just might make some more of my cards this way.
Thanks for stopping by Don't forget next week is the blog hop with the new images from SCH . Tracy has some blog candy on SCH to celebrate the One year anniversary and next week  I have some of my own blog candy to give away.  Please  Check out the rest of the girls at Sugar Creek Hollow and our guest designer. I know they have awesome hand made flowers to show you!

Easel card.

Today over at Charisma Cards the challenge is to make easel cards, This is such a great card fold I made one for another card for a post later this week.  The Stamping Boutique is the sponsor this week, be sure to stop by there is lots of great inspiration,   then make an Easel card they are lots of fun!
I have used the image from TSB called An uncommon Friendship. What a great image to color I then used some green ribbon to look like sea weed. and added some flowers and sparkle. I have added Sparkle to the whole card front with shimmer mist( it is hard to see in the picture). The inside of this card is just a white pannel that I stamped a saying from SU, the green bow is what holds the card open.
Be sure to stop by Charisma cards and give  a try at an Easel card, they are so much fun!

More about Guinness

I had to share this with you.
I have written about Guinness and showed pictures of him. Today I found him with the girls playing with dolls.

He was up in my daughters room for about 1-2 hours. He just wanted to be with the girls. Here he is looking at me, earlier was watching the girls.

My daughter's friend is in the green shirt and Guinness would lick her arm every so often. She said she had to go wash her arm a few times because he keep licking her.

All morning he would go up stairs and try to get into Mia's room. The girls finely let him in and this is where he sat and watched the girls. Every so often the girls would have to yell at him because he would go after something. See the brush, he is afraid of it. My daughter put in front of him so he would not get the doll shoes, or hair things.  When I went to check on him he was so happy that he got to sit and watch the girls play, it was so cute. Thanks for stopping by.

For this image I used the sketch from Sweet sketch Wednesdays #91.  Thanks girls for a great sketch.
For my image this one is called Caterpillar swing.  I tried a new technique by Suzanne Dean over at Color me Creative Classroom.  You can link to the video Here.  I tried to give him texture by layering colors and using my blending pen.  He reminds me of a big happy  woolly caterpillar.

Another Day off School!

Oh my goodness, we have another day off school due to the weather. We had ice rain this AM and the buses were not able to get out so School was canceled.  I ended up staying home today too, my husband called and said it was very bad out there, and wanted me to stay home. So I did! What a nice guy!!
I headed off to my craft room and decided I wanted to make a project for Stamp Fairy  challenge.  This week was to make anything but a card. My daughter is Mia and She has fallen in love with the images from Stamp Fairy. So I took a letter from her name that she had in her room  and gussied it up for her,  so she will always have the images in her room.
The M started out as just plain white and I added the striped paper, because she has a blue room and then the two images.
Here is a close up of Lenny. He is so cute! I added some sparkle to his wings. Now someone wants to make some cookies, so I am off to the kitchen to make chocolate chip cookies, Yum!

Here is the finished project, Mia finished the I and the A all by herself. I have a crafter on my hands!!
