Boo!

Happy Monday bloggers!
Today's card is just one that I had to CASE. After I saw my online friend Dawn Burnworth's  card,  I knew I had to try and make one. To make the pumpkin, I used the large Spellbinder label 10. After cutting and embossing I used my sewing machine to stitch around the pumpkin.
The vines and leaves were cut using my Cricut and the stem was free hand. I do have to say it was so easy and so stinking cute! Thanks Dawn for the great idea!
I also have a big announcement to tell you! I am very excited about this. I was asked to be part of a design team! As you can see from my side bar, it is Sugar Creek Hollow. Tracy ( the Owner) saw some of my work and sent me a email asking me to join. I was so very flattered that she would think my cards are worthy of her images. My first post will be this Saturday and I hope you come back to see what I made with her great images! Thanks for stopping by I have been busy creating today and will have more cards to show you later in the week.

Happy Birthday Nic!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICOLAS!! I can not believe it my baby boy is turning 13, he is already quite the young man.  Over this summer he has become taller than me, his voice has changed and  his shoe size is 11 1/2!  So I guess I can not call him my baby boy.  I don't even think I could hold him on my lap! This Mo Manning image is perfect for boys, even though this doesn't look like  my Nic, it does remind me of him. I really like the masculine colors in the Paper which is from My Minds Eye it goes perfect with the way I colored the image.  I even used my new Spellbinders, labels fifteen.
Nicolas we are so proud of the young man you are turning into, Hope your birthday is grand! Hugs Mom and Dad.

Midnight madness sketch # 67

Hello Blogers!
Today's card is for Midnight madness sketch challenge #67.  This weeks sponsor is Sugar Creek Hollow.

Sugar Creek Hollow is an exclusive online business located in the heart of Central Virginia, tight on the James River. They specialize in Vintage, Shabby, & Primitive Digi Stamps, digital watermarks, as well as carry a full selection of colors in their exclusive “Country Crinkle Ribbon”.  Tracy is offering one lucky winner a $25 Gift Certificate to her store. Head on over and check things out!

Today I used one of my favorite images from Sugar Creek Hollow, Butterfly tile.  The digi images are fun and so easy to use and you can do everything you normally do with a regular rubber stamp. I used colored pencils and  OMS  to color the image and then used the cracked glass technique.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

I miss you!

Happy  Monday blogers!,
For today's card I used an image from Mo Manning digital stamps.  Is this not the cutest image ever?  I fell in love with this image the moment I saw it on digital pencil too blog.    I also went and used the Mojo Monday 152 sketch and SCS, try a new technique
The BG paper is a SU paper and I do not know its name, I do know that it is retired because I only have this one sheet which I bought from my SU demonstrator Emma
The new technique at SCS is not to use a bow or a knot with your ribbon. That was a hard one for me but, after lurking on many blogs and checking out SCS gallery. I gave the crinkled ribbon treatment a try. It was easier that I thought.  Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!

Hummingbird

Happy weekend everyone!
Today I made a card using an image from Sugar Creek Hollow. This was a freebie image and I wanted to use color pencils and OMS to color. I have not used my colored pencils in quite awhile and I had a fun time getting them out again.  The Paper is one of my favorites,  from My minds eye called Bloom and Grow. I picked this paper up form Hobby Lobby.
About a week ago, while at my in-laws,  I read a article in the newspaper about a town in MI it is called Colon. They have a yearly Hummingbird round up where they band the hummingbirds before the little guys take off to fly down to Mexico. I think we are going to try and make it to this next year. I would love to know how the catch and band these little guys with out hurting them.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
